MYOFUNCTIONAL THERAPY

Orofacial Myofunctional therapy (OMT) is used to help encourage a correct tongue resting position , and help with any speech or swallowing issues that might have developed as a result of incorrect tongue placement or compensation.

 

OMD can cause tension in the neck and shoulders, forward head posture, TMDJ and sleep disordered breathing .

             ARTICULATION/ SPEECH SOUND DISORDERS

Articulation is the formation of clear and distinct sounds in speech. The production of sounds involves the coordinated movement of your lips, tongue, teeth, palate, and your respiratory system. Children will develop articulation skills as they grow up. However, some children may need extra support with articulation.

NOXIOUS HABIT ELIMINATION
 

We work with children (ages 4 and up),  as well as teens and adults with the elimination of  prolonged bad habits.

These might include but are not limited to ( thumb sucking, prolonged pacifier use, nail biting , etc.)

   LANGUAGE DISORDERS

A child with a language disorder will have difficulty using vocabulary, forming the right words together and understanding others. They have difficulty comprehending others and expressing themselves
